Expatriates Unit
An eResidence document is generally issued for five (5) years. In the case of dependants, the document validity reflects that of the sponsor.
Renewal of the eResidence document can be done by sending an e-mail to: eu.identita@gov.mt, indicating:
- Name and surname;
- Residence number (format: 0xxxxxA);
- Confirming whether scope of residence remains the same or is changing.
Identità will respond with a date and time for the biometrics appointment, accompanied by the applicable form that needs to be filled and the list of documents that need to be presented at the time of appointment.
