Clerical Officer ( Gozo)
Job Description:
Offer clerical support to the administrative and technical branches of the unit;
Copy, type, file, operate office machinery including computers and general office duties;
Open files, registration of applications/notices in day book and forwarding to other sections for necessary action;
Receive payments regarding applications, and issuing receipts;
Conduct a daily reconciliation statement of all applications received;
Answer queries re applications, documentations required;
Answer telephones, sets up appointments and help in maintaining an organised filing system, answers emails and manage information;
May be required to man reception desks, to answer queries and handle complaints;
Provide administrative support for management and staff of the Agency;
Work as part of a team;
Any other duties as required by the CEO or his delegate.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Adequately proficient, both verbally and written, in the Maltese and English languages (Level C1/C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages);
- In possession of either:
- A pass in five (5) SEC subjects at MQF level 3 which must include Maltese,English, and Mathematics.
- An MQF level 3 VET qualification will also be considered.
In addition an ECDL or a recognised appropriate comparable qualification is required and candidates who are not in possession of such will still be considered eligible provided that they obtain the qualification by the end of the probationary period.
Eligible applicants must be residents of Gozo or willing to work in our Gozo offices.
