The Central Visa Unit has implemented new measures aimed at enhancing the Employment Visa application process. These changes include the introduction of more detailed checklists, and the introduction of a Declaration of refusal to provide requested documentation.

Comprehensive Checklists

Applicants will now have access to an updated and detailed checklist according to their specific category and purpose of entrance in Malta.

The revision of these checklists ensure that applicants can properly prepare all necessary documentation before submitting their visa application.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to carefully review the checklist relevant to their visa category. Submitting a complete and accurate application reduces the risk of delays and the need for additional information requests, resulting in a smoother application experience.

Declaration of refusal to provide requested documentation

The Central Visa Unit has also introduced a new Declaration, present in all Visa Application Centers.

Such declaration will need to be signed in those instances where an applicant wishes to proceed with their application without including a required document, or a document that is not in line with the requested documentation expressed in the respective checklist. VFS Global officials will notify the applicant of the missing or incorrect documentation. The applicant will then be required to sign the Declaration, acknowledging their decision to submit the application under these conditions.
