Col. Mark Mallia

Col. Mark Mallia was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Identità in January 2022. Under his leadership, operational processes are monitored and reviewed with the goal of improving customer service efficiency. In accordance with the agency’s mission and vision, the agency develops and implements operational strategies for both the short and long term.

Before joining Identità, he held various high-ranking positions in the Malta Armed Forces for many years. He joined the Armed Forces of Malta as an Officer Cadet in 1997 and was commissioned as an Officer in 1998. He was appointed Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces of Malta on 20th December 2013, heading also the Human Resources Management Branch.

Col. Mark Mallia holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), and a Diploma in Management Studies, all from the University of Malta.
