Mr. Steve Agius has been appointed as Identità’s new Chief Executive Officer, who will be succeeding Col. Mark Mallia.
Mr. Steve Agius has been appointed as Identità’s new Chief Executive Officer, who will be succeeding Col. Mark Mallia.
Col. Mallia occupied the role of Chief Executive Office for the past two-years and is leaving behind him many accomplishments, amongst which the rebranding of Identity Malta to Identità, the launch of a new three-year strategy, the setting up of the Compliance Unit and the streamlining of various application processes.
Mr. Steve Agius occupied a number of managerial posts, including Chief Operating Officer at Mater Dei Hospital where he spearheaded the national COVID-19 vaccination program. Prior to that, he served as Chief Information Officer at the national telecommunications regulator, overseeing various projects.
Agius holds a Masters’ degree in business administration and is currently pursuing a doctorate, focusing on data-driven decision-making.

Following the successful implementation of the initial phase of the paperless system, which featured the introduction of a qualified digital signature and the digital provision of wills, the Searches Unit will now extend its digital services to also include Updates.
